I woke up at 5:00 am to watch the live feed from Australia and I didn't leave the television until the show was over....sometime around 11:00 pm
There were so many bands I wanted to watch, but it was Duran Duran that I waited all night for.

I would much rather remember how much fun Simon seemed to be having and that my favorite band was there to try and raise money for a cause that they believed in.
Knowing the band's history like I do, and knowing how they have all said since that playing Live Aid had made them realize that they were a million miles away from each other, I'm glad that I couldn't tell any of that while watching on that summer's night in 1985
